Why BLU Bordo is my go-to fungicide for professional orchards

When you are managing orchards or vegetable crops, you stop looking for the next "miracle cure" and start looking for consistency and reliability. That is exactly why I integrated BLU Bordo by Cerexagri into my standard crop protection program. It is a copper-based solution that rarely lets you down when you need to handle scab, mildew, or late blight.

What I appreciate most as an operator is the physical form of the product. The water-dispersible granules are a game-changer compared to old-school powders. There is no dust cloud when filling the tank, and more importantly, they dissolve completely. No clogged nozzles, no downtime, and no frustration during the peak spraying season when every minute counts.

Field Experience and Application

• Handling: With a dosage of 5–10 kg/ha, you get excellent coverage. Because it acts both as a contact and systemic fungicide, it provides that critical barrier on the plant surface while delivering internal protection.
• Efficiency: I stick to a schedule of 3–4 applications per season. It is a proven rhythm for grapes and fruit trees. The residual effect is quite impressive; even after minor rainfall, the copper protection remains active on the leaves.
• Safety and Logistics: Following the 20–30 day pre-harvest interval is standard procedure, ensuring the final produce is clean and compliant. Being a category 3 hazard product, it’s manageable, but I always emphasize using proper personal protective equipment for the crew.

BLU Bordo is essentially a workhorse. It doesn't require complex mixing rituals and is predictable in the field. Whether I'm treating apples, peaches, or potatoes, I know that the French-manufactured formulation will provide the stability needed to protect my yields from fungal pressure. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense tool that is definitely worth the investment for any serious agricultural operation.
