A three-component protection for soybeans and peas that eliminates the risk of early root rots and peronosporosis.
Description
Synergy of components for legume seed protection
Maxim Advance 195 FS is a specialized seed treatment designed for the deep protection of legume crops. The technological advantage of this product lies in its three-component formulation, combining thiabendazole, metalaxyl-M, and fludioxonil. This specific combination covers a critical spectrum of pathogens: from surface infections to hard-to-reach soil-borne fungi.
Technical Breakdown
- Fludioxonil: Acts as a contact component that inhibits spore germination and pathogen mycelium. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to remain in the root zone, creating a protective 'barrier' around the seed.
- Metalaxyl-M: A systemic agent capable of being rapidly absorbed by seeds and translocated through the seedling. This is vital for controlling oomycetes, particularly downy mildew (peronosporosis) pathogens.
- Thiabendazole: Provides systemic protection within the seed, which is critical when dealing with Fusarium root rot and Ascochyta blight.
The formulation — a concentrated emulsion for seed treatment — provides excellent adhesion to the seed coat, preventing the active substance from dusting off during loading into planters. The dosage rate ranges from 0.5 to 1.0 liters per ton of seeds, making the treatment economically viable for high-density soybean or pea sowing.
Practical Significance
The main challenge in legume cultivation is poor germination caused by seed mold and early-stage Fusarium infection. Maxim Advance 195 FS addresses these protection needs during the early stages of vegetation, when the plant is most vulnerable. Due to the systemic action of its components, the protection covers not only the surface but also the internal tissues, ensuring uniform seedling emergence even under unfavorable weather conditions during the sowing season.
