Mechanism of Action

«Propi 250 CE» is based on propiconazole, a systemic fungicide belonging to the triazole chemical group. Its primary mode of action is the inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis within the fungal cell membranes. By disrupting this critical process, the fungicide prevents cell wall formation and arrests mycelial growth, providing both curative and preventative protection. The emulsifiable concentrate formulation allows for rapid penetration through the leaf cuticle, enabling quick localization of the infection.

Technical Application Details

The product combines systemic and contact-like properties, making it highly reliable in conditions of high humidity where pathogens spread rapidly. Its systemic nature allows the active ingredient to translocate acropetally (upward) through the plant's xylem. This ensures that both the treated foliage and new growth are protected from invading fungi.

• Fodder Beet: effective against Cercospora leaf spot.
• Winter Oilseed Rape: controls powdery mildew and various leaf spots.
• Cereals (wheat, barley): target application against septoria, helminthosporiosis, and rhynchosporium.

The recommended application rate is 0.5–1.0 L/ha. When deciding on the dosage, operators should consider disease pressure and environmental conditions. Under heavy disease pressure, the higher end of the rate range is recommended for optimal control. As a Class 3 hazardous substance, standard safety precautions must be followed during handling and application to minimize environmental impact and operator exposure.
