A systemic solution with a dual mechanism of action for the intensive protection of vegetable and nightshade crops.
Description
Synergy of two components: how Quadris Top works
The product is based on a combination of azoxystrobin (200 g/l) and difenoconazole (125 g/l). Azoxystrobin, belonging to the strobilurin class, blocks electron transport in the pathogen's mitochondria, halting its respiration process. Meanwhile, difenoconazole, from the triazole group, inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis, compromising the integrity of fungal cell membranes. This combination makes the fungicide an indispensable tool in intensive vegetable farming.
Technical application notes
The product is formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC). Due to its systemic action, the active ingredients quickly penetrate plant tissues, providing both preventive and curative effects. A key advantage is the extended protection phase, which is critical for onions, tomatoes, and potatoes during periods of high infection pressure.
- Efficiency: controls a broad spectrum of diseases, including alternaria, downy mildew, gray mold, powdery mildew, and fusarium wilt.
- Guidelines: to ensure maximum biological efficacy, 2–3 treatments per season are permitted, with intervals adjusted to the crop growth dynamics.
- Economics: the application rate ranges from 0.5 to 1.0 l/ha, allowing for flexible protection management based on the level of infection.
Given its 3rd hazard class, handling the product requires standard safety precautions. The pre-harvest interval is 14 days, a factor to consider when scheduling harvest operations on commercial onion or potato fields. The product's manufacturing chain spans Syngenta facilities in Switzerland, the USA, Belgium, and France, ensuring consistent formulation quality regardless of the country of origin.
