Developed by Jiangsu Fengshan Group and Nanjing Fengshan Chemical, the 'Starlight' fungicide is a systemic solution formulated with azoxystrobin. Belonging to the strobilurin class, this fungicide is designed to disrupt the energy metabolism of fungal cells, effectively stopping the development of various diseases. Its systemic mode of action ensures that the active ingredient is redistributed throughout the plant, providing comprehensive coverage.

Practical application in crop management

• Cereals and Corn: Starlight is frequently deployed to combat Septoria, Helminthosporium, and powdery mildew. It is most effective when applied during periods of peak vegetative growth to ensure the health of the photosynthetic leaf area.
• Potatoes and Soybeans: The chemical is highly regarded for its success against late blight, anthracnose, and alternaria. Its ability to provide residual protection helps farmers manage risks even in conditions highly favorable for fungal spread.

Operational guidelines and dosage

For optimal results, the application rate is set between 0.5 to 1 liter per hectare. The program allows for 1–2 treatments per season, with a mandatory pre-harvest interval of 20 to 30 days. As a suspension concentrate, it offers ease of mixing and application. Starlight is classified as a Hazard Class 3 product, requiring standard protective protocols during handling. By integrating this systemic fungicide into regular field operations, growers can significantly reduce disease pressure and protect yield potential in high-value crops.
