The TerraVin SC fungicide, produced by Jinan Kesai Agrochem and Sparta Research, is a complex solution combining three active components: thiabendazole, imazalil, and flutriafol. This combination allows for the control of a range of pathogens that traditional one- or two-component compositions often overlook.

Technical Breakdown of the Formulation

• Thiabendazole (benzimidazoles): provides systemic action by blocking fungal cell division. Its primary role is the long-term protection of the seedling against surface and internal infections.
• Imazalil (imidazoles): critical for combating localized and systemic root rots. It possesses excellent penetration capabilities, reaching deep into the seed to suppress pathogen activity where other products fail.
• Flutriafol: provides a powerful systemic effect, protecting seedlings from secondary infections. It translocates rapidly within the plant, ensuring protection for areas not directly reached during the initial treatment.

Combining these substances in a suspension concentrate formulation ensures uniform coverage of the seed surface without the risk of overdosing or dusting off. This is crucial when working with winter crops such as wheat, barley, rye, and oats. The product effectively halts the development of net blotch, septoria, and seed mold, creating a "shield" around the grain during the critical germination phase.
