FLOS

The Gladiolus variety FLOS is a striking plant with a sturdy straight scape reaching about 165 cm in height and green leaves. The inflorescence reaches dimensions of 75 by 24 cm and consists of 19-22 flowers arranged in two rows, from which 8-11 bloom simultaneously. The flowers have a star-shaped form with a diameter of about 15 cm, featuring ovate perianth segments and a characteristic ruffled edge. The flowers are richly purple with shades of cherry-raspberry tone; the lower petals are adorned with white edging, while the flower base is pink. The staminal filaments are pinkish-red, anthers are blue-purple, the pistil is red, and the stigmas are pink, which adds additional decorative appeal to the flower.

The FLOS variety is characterized by a medium flowering period lasting from 8 to 12 days and is noted for its high resistance to adverse weather conditions, diseases, and pests. The corm has a red-purple coloration. Due to its versatility, this gladiolus is recommended for cultivation in various regions and conditions, making it an excellent choice for both professional floriculturists and enthusiasts.

The author of the variety is Sergey Alekseevich Vasiliev, who created this gladiolus in 2003. The variety was officially approved for cultivation and included in the register in 2007. FLOS stands out with its fantastic flower structure featuring strong ruffling and a pleasant cherry-raspberry hue, making it a true ornament for any flower bed and bouquet composition.
