Description
Gladiolus Polovetskie Pyaski is a perennial bulbous plant from the Iris family, distinguished by its high decorative value and large flowers. The plant reaches a height of 170 cm, making it one of the tallest gladiolus varieties. The flowers have a strongly ruffled shape and a large size of up to 14 cm in diameter, which gives them expressiveness and originality.
The flower coloration features rose-copper and yellow tones with bright spots and strokes located on both inner and outer petals. In the flowers, shades of apricot, pale, and green colors are visible, along with red-brick overflows, creating a complex and attractive color palette. The spike is long, two-rowed, of medium density, and contains 20 to 22 buds, from which 7-9 flowers bloom simultaneously, ensuring a prolonged and spectacular flowering.
The variety was bred and patented by breeder A.N. Gromov in 2000. Gladiolus Polovetskie Pyaski is characterized by a medium flowering period after planting and is grown as an annual, despite its perennial nature. Thanks to its large, bright, and ruffled flowers, this variety is excellent for decorative greening and creating expressive floral compositions.
