BLACK CRIMEAN

BLACK CRIMEAN is an indigenous Crimean table grape variety of late maturity, harvested in the second half of October. The bushes are vigorous with good cane ripening; however, the variety has low frost resistance, and at temperatures around -15°C, buds may be damaged by up to 20%. Leaves are large, rounded, three-lobed with wavy margins and weak pubescence, often almost entire. Flowers are hermaphroditic, which promotes good fruit set.

Clusters are large, conical or cylindrical-conical with a pronounced wing, of medium to high density. Berries are oval-egg-shaped, large, violet-black in color with a light waxy bloom and a firm skin. The flesh is fleshy-juicy, rich in juice, but with a simple taste and no pronounced variety aroma. Each berry contains 1-2 medium seeds. The variety is characterized by excellent transportability and storability, making it convenient for storage and transportation.

BLACK CRIMEAN demonstrates relative resistance to fungal diseases, which facilitates plant care. Yield is high — ranging from 70-80 to 150 centners per hectare. Berries are consumed primarily fresh and are also used to make jams, preserves, and marinades. This variety combines an attractive appearance, good agro-technical characteristics, and versatility in application.
