Vostorg Bely (White Delight) is a table grape variety developed by the Potapenko Research Institute of Viticulture. Its pedigree, involving Zarja Severa and Russky Ranny, provides a robust genetic foundation for both environmental adaptability and disease resistance. As an early-season variety (110–120 days), it is engineered for efficient production in temperate climates.

Agronomic Performance Metrics

• Reproductive Stability: Featuring perfect (hermaphroditic) flowers, Vostorg Bely ensures consistent pollination, which significantly reduces the incidence of shot berries (millerandage). Bunches are typically conical, weighing 500–700 g.
• Berry Characteristics: The berries measure 2.3–2.5 cm, featuring firm, juicy pulp. With sugar levels reaching 17–19%, the variety is highly valued for fresh market consumption.
• Disease Management: The cultivar exhibits high resistance to downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola) and solid resistance to powdery mildew (Oidium). This inherent biological defense reduces the dependency on chemical fungicides.

The vine is characterized by high vigor, which necessitates an effective trellis system to maintain proper canopy ventilation and light penetration. With a cold hardiness threshold of up to -25°C, it is well-suited for diverse regions. To maintain the 6–8 yield score and berry size, growers should manage the crop load through thinning and pruning during the vegetative cycle.
