HERSONES

Hersones is a hybrid grape variety of very early maturity, ripening at the end of July – beginning of August. Bushes are medium-to-strong growing with a functionally female flower type. Bunches are medium to large, weighing 400-500 g, conical or cylinder-conical shape of medium density. Berries are large, oval, pink in color with more intense coloration on the sun-exposed side, approximately 25 by 22 mm in size and weighing 6-8 g. Flesh is fleshy, juicy, with a pleasant original taste, sugar content reaches 15-20 %, acidity 6-7 g/l. Skin is of medium density, tender and does not interfere with consumption.

The Hersones grape variety is distinguished by good shoot maturation and compatibility with most rootstocks. The fruitfulness coefficient is 1.4, and the plant bears fruit well even with short pruning to 2-4 buds, however, it requires crop regulation. The variety's transportability is average. It possesses high resistance to downy mildew and enhanced frost hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -26 degrees.

This grape variety is a rather new form that needs testing in various viticulture regions. Hersones is valued for its high taste qualities, beautiful appearance of berries and bunches, as well as for disease resistance. Thanks to its characteristics, it is suitable for cultivation under early maturation conditions and can be used as a table grape.
