Description
Biological Pest Control Mechanism
Aktoverm by BTU-Center is a biological insecticide and acaricide based on a complex of avermectins. Unlike synthetic pesticides, the product enters the pest's organism primarily through contact and ingestion, affecting the insect's nervous system. Avermectins cause irreversible paralysis by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses, leading to the death of pests within 1–3 days after spraying.
Technological Features and Application
- Active Ingredient: Aversectin C, a metabolite of the fungus Streptomyces avermitilis. The emulsion concentrate ensures rapid leaf surface wetting and high bioavailability.
- Protection Spectrum: The product is effective against a wide range of pests: from Colorado potato beetles and aphids to spider mites and codling moths. It is equally successful on vegetable crops (tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage) and orchards (apple trees, vineyards).
- Safety and Deadlines: Classified as hazard class 3. The key advantage is the short waiting period. Fruits can be consumed just 2 days after the last treatment, which is critical for crops with short ripening cycles.
Operational Recommendations
To achieve maximum effect when spraying during the vegetation period, it is necessary to consider the temperature factor: the bioproduct works best at air temperatures above +18°C. Sunlight accelerates the degradation of the active substance, so treatments should be performed in the evening or morning hours. The recommended frequency is 2–3 applications at intervals of 7–10 days for full control of populations at different developmental stages.
