A fast-acting contact insecticide designed for robust control of pests across various field crops.
Description
Technical Overview: Alfa Super Plant Protection
"Alfa Super" by "Agricopter Asia Limited" is a high-efficacy contact insecticide and acaricide formulated with alpha-cypermethrin. Presented as an emulsifiable concentrate, this product is engineered for stability in tank mixtures and superior penetration of the insect cuticle.
Mechanism of Action
As a synthetic pyrethroid, alpha-cypermethrin acts directly on the sodium channels within the nerve cell membranes of pests. By inducing a rapid disruption of membrane permeability, it triggers hyper-excitation of the nervous system, followed by paralysis and rapid mortality of the target organism.
- Knockdown Effect: The contact nature of the agent provides an immediate paralytic response upon contact with the pest during spraying.
- Target Range: Effective against a wide spectrum of insects, including beetles (weevils, flea beetles, pollen beetles), aphids, and lepidopterans (cutworms, leafrollers), suitable for winter wheat, winter rapeseed, and alfalfa.
Application and Technical Standards
To maximize the biological performance of the product, adherence to specific technical protocols is required:
- Application Rate: 0.1–0.25 L/ha, adjusted based on the pest pressure and crop development stage.
- Treatment Frequency: Maximum of 2 applications per season to effectively manage resistance development.
- Pre-harvest Interval (PHI): Treatments must cease 20–30 days prior to harvest to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Classified as a Hazard Class 2 substance, protective gear is mandatory during handling. The emulsifiable concentrate formulation allows for accurate dosing and stable integration into various spray programs, provided the solution pH is monitored to maintain chemical efficacy.
