In modern intensive farming, protecting winter crops during the germination phase is a critical factor for yield. The seed treatment agent «Brigid» by the Ukrainian manufacturer «May Group» offers an all-in-one solution, combining both fungicidal and insecticidal protection in a single application. It is a new-generation product designed for farmers aiming to minimize the risks of stand density loss before the seedlings even emerge.

Technological composition and action mechanisms

The effectiveness of «Brigid» is rooted in the synergy of four active components: thiamethoxam, azoxystrobin, tebuconazole, and strobilurins. This combination provides a dual effect:

• Systemic insecticidal protection: Thiamethoxam effectively controls soil pests (wireworms) and ground insects in early development stages (flea beetles, cereal flies, ground beetles).
• Fungicidal barrier: Azoxystrobin and tebuconazole create a powerful shield against root rots, seed mold, powdery mildew, and septoria.

The suspension concentrate formulation ensures excellent adhesion to seeds, minimizing dusting and product loss during drill loading.

Application guidelines

«Brigid» is specifically engineered for winter wheat and winter barley. With an application rate of 2.0 to 3.0 liters per ton, the product delivers stable results even under high infection pressure or threats from mass pest outbreaks. Importantly, the product acts through both systemic and contact mechanisms, allowing it to disinfect the seed surface while simultaneously protecting the sprout from within and stimulating root system development. Farmers should note the 2nd hazard class and limit use to one treatment per season, strictly adhering to the recommended dosages to achieve maximum biological efficacy.
