Mechanism of action: systemic control

"Golden Harvest" is based on acetamiprid, an active ingredient from the neonicotinoid chemical class. The technical value of this product lies in its combination of contact and systemic effects. Upon contact with the plant surface or ingestion by the pest, acetamiprid immediately blocks the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors of the insect's nervous system. This leads to convulsions, paralysis, and rapid mortality of Colorado potato beetles, thrips, leafhoppers, and aphids.

Formulation advantages

The product is supplied as water-dispersible granules (WDG). This formulation offers several advantages when preparing tank mixtures:

• High concentration and dosage accuracy: granules do not create dust or clump during storage.
• Instant solubility: the active ingredient is evenly distributed in the working solution, preventing uneven leaf coverage.
• Stability in tank mixes: WDG is practically unaffected by water hardness, ensuring predictable results during foliar application.

Practical application aspects

Thanks to its systemic action, the active ingredient quickly penetrates plant tissues and redistributes throughout the plant. This is critical for potato protection: even the parts of the leaf not directly hit by the spray become toxic to pests. The hazard class 3 makes the product relatively safe when following regulations, though it requires the use of standard personal protective equipment.
