Why "Mistrix" has become my insurance policy for crops

When you walk into the field and see cereal flies or cereal leaf beetles starting to decimate your wheat, there is no time for long deliberations. Working with "Mistrix" from Solantis Ukraine, I was impressed by its combined formula. It uses a classic approach: imidacloprid provides systemic protection by penetrating plant tissues, while lambda-cyhalothrin delivers a contact knockout effect immediately upon contact with the leaf.

Field experience on corn and wheat

On corn, this insecticide has become my primary tool against the Western corn rootworm and cotton bollworm. The main advantage is the ability to operate with low application rates: 0.05–0.1 l/ha is quite enough for effective population control. The product comes as a suspension concentrate, which is critical for me — it mixes perfectly in the spray tank, does not clog the sprayer nozzles, and leaves no residue if the guidelines are followed.

Operational features

• Versatility: Two modes of action allow you to cover both hidden pests (like the cereal ground beetle) and those feeding actively on the surface.
• Control: Two allowed treatments are sufficient to fully resolve aphid and sunn pest issues.
• Safety: The product is classified as Hazard Class 2, so we always work in full PPE — you cannot neglect this with such an active composition.

If we talk about the economics, the concentration of active ingredients allows for fewer field trips. For an agronomist, this means savings on fuel and labor hours. "Mistrix" is that rare case where the predictability of the result outweighs the cost of the product. It does its job quietly but effectively, preserving yield potential where other products might start to underperform.
