Synergy of two modes of action

Rimon Fast combines two active ingredients with fundamentally different mechanisms of action: bifenthrin (a pyrethroid) and novaluron (a chitin synthesis inhibitor, a benzoylurea derivative). This combination covers key stages of the pest lifecycle: from an immediate knockdown effect to the suppression of subsequent generation development.

Bifenthrin: contact control and rapid knockdown

Bifenthrin affects the insect nervous system, causing rapid paralysis. Its advantage is high initial activity against exposed pests, including leafrollers and the cotton bollworm. Within the formulation, it ensures protection starts immediately after application, which is critical when pest populations in rapeseed or corn crops are high.

Novaluron: a biochemical barrier

Unlike classic insecticides, novaluron blocks the insect's molting process by inhibiting chitin synthesis. When it contacts eggs or early-instar larvae, it prevents them from transitioning to the next developmental stage. This solution drastically reduces the density of mite and codling moth populations, creating a long-lasting protective shield for up to 30–40 days.

Application technology

The suspension concentrate formulation ensures the stability of the spray solution and high adhesion to the leaf surface. The optimal application rate is 0.3–0.5 L/ha, depending on the phytosanitary situation. A key operational aspect is strictly adhering to the regulation (maximum of 2 applications per season), which prevents the development of pest resistance.
