The efficacy of «Stefonir» by the German brand «Stheses» is rooted in the combination of two active ingredients with distinct mechanisms of action. The formulation contains imidacloprid and lambda-cyhalothrin. This blend turns the insecticide into a powerful tool for winter wheat protection, ensuring both an immediate «knockdown effect» and long-term systemic control.

Technical breakdown of the formulation

• Imidacloprid (neonicotinoid): Provides systemic action. The substance is rapidly absorbed by the plant and distributed throughout its vascular system. This is critical for combating pests that hide within plant tissues, such as cereal flies.
• Lambda-cyhalothrin (pyrethroid): Provides contact and stomach action. It targets the nervous system of insects, causing rapid death upon contact with the treated surface.

The suspension concentrate formulation ensures excellent solubility and stability of the spray solution, which minimizes the risk of nozzle clogging in sprayers. Due to the systemic component, the preparation remains resistant to wash-off by rain shortly after it dries on the leaves.

Application practice and dosage

To achieve maximum results in winter wheat fields, a dosage rate of 0.5 to 1.0 L/ha is recommended. The product effectively suppresses populations of the sunn pest, cereal flies, aphids, and cereal leaf beetles. A significant advantage is that a single treatment per season is sufficient to achieve protection targets, significantly reducing the pesticide load on the agroecosystem. Foliar application during the period of mass pest emergence guarantees the preservation of yield potential.
