Description
Systemic protection for tomatoes and cabbage
When whiteflies or aphids appear on the field, there is no time for hesitation — you need to act proactively. In my practice, for treating tomatoes and cabbage, I often choose “Tiara” from “Nertus”. This preparation is based on thiamethoxam, which does not just work on the surface but penetrates deep into plant tissues. Its main advantage is systemic protection: even if you missed a few leaves during spraying, the active ingredient redistributes within the crop, creating a shield for new shoots.
Application features and effectiveness
The product comes as a suspension concentrate, which is easy to handle: it mixes well in tank mixtures and does not clog sprayer nozzles. We keep to a consumption rate of 0.5–1.0 L/ha, which is quite sufficient for controlling Colorado potato beetles, thrips, and flea beetles. The key is to follow the regulations: no more than two treatments per season, with the last one applied 20 days before harvest. This is critical for crop safety, as the preparation is in hazard class 3.
- Systemic action: protects even areas that were not directly sprayed.
- Fast-acting: pests stop feeding almost immediately upon contact.
- Versatility: one tank covers a wide range of pests — from aphids to whiteflies.
Working with “Tiara” is convenient if you follow basic operator safety rules. It is a reliable tool for those who prefer to deal with pests effectively at the early stages of vegetation rather than playing catch-up all season.
