Aviram lettuce is a mid-season iceberg type variety developed by the Dutch company Hazera. The vegetative period ranges from 60 to 70 days, making it a relatively early variety. The crop is primarily intended for cultivation in open ground, but it also grows successfully in greenhouses. The lettuce exhibits high resistance to high summer temperatures, making it especially valuable for regions with hot climates. Due to its adaptability, this variety is suitable for planting in spring, summer, and autumn, ensuring a steady yield throughout the year.

The plant forms an upright leaf rosette measuring approximately 21x23 cm. Heads are round and slightly flattened, with a bright light green color. The average head weight ranges from 500 to 600 grams. The lettuce leaves have a high-quality structure, wavy edges, and lack anthocyanin pigmentation. They possess an excellent taste and crisp texture, making the lettuce ideal for fresh consumption.

One of the key features of the Aviram variety is its high resistance to viral diseases, including lettuce mosaic virus, as well as to bolting and necrosis. This significantly simplifies crop maintenance and improves yield quality. Heads have a high storage potential, ensuring prolonged freshness after harvest. The yield of this variety reaches up to 5.3 kg per square meter, making it attractive for both farmers and home gardeners.
