Azirka salad is an early-maturing, semi-heading type of Lollo Rosso, developed by Dutch breeders Enza Zaden. This variety features a compact, raised rosette with very dense, crisp, curly leaves of a rich cherry-red color, giving it an attractive appearance. The leaves are tear-shaped with a small cut surface and have excellent taste qualities.
Azirka is versatile in cultivation and suitable for growing in open ground from spring to autumn, as well as year-round in greenhouses. Additionally, the variety adapts well to hydroponic systems.
