Description
Brietta lettuce — an early type Lollo Bionda hybrid developed by the Dutch company Enza Zaden. This hybrid is intended for all-season cultivation, both in open ground and hydroponics. The plant forms a large rosette with numerous curly, bright green leaves, which are distinguished by a pleasant, crisp, and juicy flavor. Brietta is characterized by high productivity and disease resistance, as well as resistance to bolting, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions, including moderate climates and hot weather with nighttime temperature fluctuations.
The lettuce matures in approximately 40–50 days after sowing, with an average rosette weight of about 200 grams. The optimal temperature for cultivation is within the range of +18–+20 degrees. Seeds can be sown directly into the ground or into special seedling trays, with a recommended sowing depth of 20 mm and spacing between plants of 20 cm. The sowing rate is 0.2–0.3 grams per square meter. For successful cultivation, regular watering, soil loosening, weed removal, and fertilization approximately once a month are required.
Brietta lettuce is widely used in mixed salads and for garnishing various dishes due to its attractive appearance and excellent taste qualities. The seed package contains 1 gram, which corresponds to approximately 600–1000 seeds, enabling effective planning of sowing and achieving stable yields in any region.
