CHERRY FOG LETTUCE

The 'Cherry Fog' salad is a mid-season leaf variety with high decorative qualities and exceptional taste. The plants form a semi-erect rosette of small oval leaves in a pale green color with wavy lilac-red or dark cherry-colored edges. The leaves are juicy, semi-crisp, possess a pleasant delicate taste, and have an increased iodine content, which makes the salad not only tasty but also beneficial. Plant height reaches approximately 25 cm, rosette diameter is about 30 cm, and the mass of one plant varies from 210 to 270 grams.

The variety is perfect for growing in open ground during the spring-summer and summer-autumn periods, as well as in greenhouses and even in pots on a windowsill. For successful cultivation, sowing is recommended at the end of April at a depth of 1-2 cm, followed by thinning seedlings to a distance of 8-10 cm between plants. To obtain fresh greens in a continuous mode, repeated sowings can be conducted with an interval of two weeks until mid-August. Plants require timely watering, regular weeding, loosening, and fertilization with mineral fertilizers.

'Cherry Fog' is not only tasty but also possesses high decorative qualities due to the beautiful dark cherry tint of the leaves, which makes it attractive both in the garden bed and on the table.
