EXPERTAISE — mid-season variety of frezian lettuce type Salanova, developed by the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan. The plant's vegetative period ranges from 45 to 55 days, allowing for harvest in a relatively short time. The lettuce forms a powerful, voluminous rosette of leaves weighing up to 750 grams, with a height of up to 20 cm and a diameter of up to 22 cm. The leaves are a rich dark green color, deeply lobed, juicy and crispy, possessing a pleasant taste and high content of vitamin C and beneficial trace elements. The plant is characterized by a dense rosette that does not collapse even when grown under conditions of elevated air temperature.

The Expertaise variety is resistant to a number of diseases, including downy mildew, necrosis, mosaic virus, and lettuce aphid, and is not prone to bolting. Thanks to these qualities, the lettuce maintains an attractive appearance and high taste characteristics throughout the growing period. The plant responds well to regular watering and the application of mineral fertilizers, which contributes to the formation of high-quality and nutritious leaf mass.

This variety is versatile in application and suitable for growing both in open ground and in protected conditions — greenhouses, hotbeds, and hydroponic systems. Thanks to its resistance to high temperatures and diseases, Expertaise lettuce is widely used for fresh market realization and in cuisine, especially for preparing fresh salad mixtures and dishes. It goes well with other lettuce varieties, including red ones, which expands the possibilities of its use in gastronomy.
