Green Star

Green Star is a mid-season oak-leaved lettuce variety, known for its rapid growth and high yield. The period from germination to the beginning of harvest ranges from 35 to 50 days, allowing for fresh leaves to be obtained in a short time. The plant has a dense, medium-sized rosette, 20-25 cm high and 30-40 cm in diameter, with a leaf mass reaching 200-250 grams. The leaves are smooth, light green in color with wavy edges, have a crisp texture and a pleasant taste.

Green Star lettuce is suitable for growing both in open ground and protected soil. It does not require complex care, just regular watering and periodic fertilization, especially beneficial are fertilizers with boron and molybdenum. The plant prefers fertile soils with a neutral reaction and is characterized by cold hardiness and moisture-loving properties, making it universal for various climatic conditions.

This variety quickly gains mass and retains freshness for a long time after harvesting, making it an excellent choice for summer salads, sandwiches, as well as for garnishing meat and fish dishes. Thanks to its compactness and stable leaf quality, Green Star can be sown every 2-3 weeks, ensuring a constant supply of fresh greens.
