Description
The KING MAYA lettuce represents a mid-season head lettuce variety with a maturity period of 60-65 days. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, reaching a height of about 18 cm and a diameter of 25 cm. The leaves are light green, smooth or with a bumpy surface, have an inverted egg shape with a straight edge and a tender oily consistency, giving the lettuce a pleasant taste and texture.
The head of this variety is oval or round, loose and open, weighing from 130 to 400 grams depending on growing conditions. Leaves form appetizing dense "little heads" with a light green hue and a characteristic pink top, making the lettuce attractive for fresh use. Thanks to its structure and taste qualities, KING MAYA lettuce is excellent for preparing various salads, garnishing appetizers and other dishes.
This variety is characterized by stable yield and growing versatility: it can be grown in both open and closed ground, using seedling or direct sowing methods. The maximum maturation period of the rosette is about 60 days, which allows flexible planning of planting dates and obtaining a quality harvest in optimal time.
