Lozano

Lozano salad is an early semi-heading type Lollo Bionda variety developed by the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan. This variety features a compact rosette with finely cut, curly light-green leaves that are crisp and juicy. The weight of one plant can reach 350-450 grams, and the vegetative period is 45-50 days, allowing for a quick harvest.

Lozano is versatile in cultivation: it grows successfully both in open ground and in covered ground, including polytunnels, and is also suitable for hydroponics. The variety shows high uniformity and marketability, making it attractive for fresh markets. Due to its complete resistance to downy mildew and lettuce aphid, Lozano requires standard agronomic practices with moderate watering, loosening, weeding, and fertilization, which simplifies care and increases harvest reliability.
