Rouxai

Rouxai salad is a medium-maturing leafy lettuce variety of the Oakleaf type, developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. This variety features a compact, attractive loose rosette of the open type, weighing up to 500 grams, with leaves 12-15 cm long. The leaves have wavy edges and a rich burgundy color with a unique triple dark-red hue; they are crisp, tender, and juicy, making the lettuce especially appealing for fresh consumption and garnishing dishes. Due to its structure and qualities, the harvest retains firmness for a long time after cutting, ensuring high-quality produce and ease of transport.

Rouxai is characterized by high plasticity and stress resistance, allowing it to be grown year-round, both outdoors and in greenhouses, as well as hydroponically. The variety is resistant to common lettuce diseases such as downy mildew and aphids, as well as internal necrosis. It responds well to regular watering and soil loosening, withstands temperature fluctuations, and has a long harvest period, guaranteeing stable production.

Seed sowing is recommended at a depth of 1-1.5 cm. Rouxai is suitable for both processing and fresh market sales.
