Description
Stallion lettuce is an early-heading head lettuce variety of the Iceberg type with a maturity period of 40-45 days. It forms dense, uniform heads weighing 400 to 600 grams with an attractive green color and excellent market appearance. Stallion is distinguished by its excellent taste, making it one of the most popular varieties on the modern market.
This variety is characterized by high resistance to bolting, which is especially important for industrial cultivation. Additionally, Stallion exhibits significant resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae), including races 1-23, ensuring reliable and stable yields. The recommended planting density is approximately 80,000 plants per hectare.
Stallion is suitable for cultivation in open ground from spring to autumn, as well as in plastic tunnels and greenhouses, enabling year-round production. For spring-summer planting, seedlings aged about 25 days are recommended; for other periods, 30-35 days. This variety is a reliable and productive choice for industrial lettuce production due to its seasonal adaptability and disease resistance.
