TOPASIO

TOPASIO is an early head lettuce variety of the Iceberg type, developed by the Dutch breeding company Bejo Zaden. This variety is distinguished by its rapid growth and productivity, forming large, round heads of light green color with whole, smooth leaves that have a crunchy and juicy texture. The lettuce has a pleasant and neutral taste, without bitterness, making it a versatile ingredient for fresh dishes and a useful source of vitamins and trace elements for the body.

TOPASIO is intended for cultivation in open ground both by direct sowing and seedling method. The maturity period is about 52-55 days, which allows for an early harvest. The plant is characterized by a well-developed root system and resistance to unfavorable factors, including temperature stresses and short-term temperature drops. The lettuce is not prone to flowering, which contributes to the stable formation of quality heads.

For successful cultivation of TOPASIO, it is recommended to use fertile loose soil with neutral or slightly acidic pH reaction, provide drip irrigation to the root, and sufficient sunlight. The heads have a spherical shape with slight flattening on top and a mass of 350 grams, which is convenient for harvesting, sorting, transportation, and sales on fresh market. Due to its qualities, this lettuce variety maintains freshness and appearance during storage and transport.
