Jazz

The "Jazz" lettuce is a mid-season variety that matures 60-65 days from germination to harvesting the greens. It forms a dense semi-erect rosette with dark green, pinnate-cut leaves of tender consistency and high taste qualities. A feature of the variety is slowed stem elongation, which allows the leaves to remain fresh for a longer period. It is recommended to grow "Jazz" in both open and protected ground; the optimal planting scheme is 25x30 cm, and the yield reaches 3-5 kg per square meter.

The leaves of the "Jazz" lettuce are distinguished by a crisp texture and lack of bitterness, making them an excellent ingredient for salads, sandwiches, and other dishes. They are rich in vitamins and beneficial substances, promote improved appetite and digestion, and have a positive effect in cases of obesity, pregnancy, emaciation, and anemia. The leaves retain freshness for a long time after cutting, which increases their value in cuisine.

For successful cultivation of the "Jazz" lettuce, choose sunny areas with fertile, drained soil of neutral or slightly acidic reaction. Do not plant it near tall plants creating shade, as this can negatively affect the development of the crop. Sowing is carried out from April, sowing seeds at a depth of 0.5-1.0 cm. It is important to control the use of nitrogen fertilizers to avoid nitrate accumulation in the leaves. When these conditions are met, juicy and tasty lettuce leaves can be obtained as soon as 20-25 days after sowing.
