ASHEN KATY

The variable alfalfa variety "Ashen Katy" is a medium-height plant with a semi-erect bush and dark green leaves. "Ashen Katy" is distinguished by high forage and seed productivity, making it in demand for agricultural use. Dry matter yield in various regions varies, reaching 56.2 c/ha in the West Siberian region, which exceeds the average standard by 5.1 c/ha, and in other regions is about 48.5 c/ha, also above the standard. Despite the fact that protein content in the variety is below the standard level, the total protein yield turns out to be higher, indicating the high nutritional value of the feed.

The variety is well adapted to various growing conditions, including summer sowing dates and reduced sowing rates, which contributes to the formation of a high seed yield. During the testing period, "Ashen Katy" demonstrated resistance to diseases, which increases its reliability and economic efficiency when used in forage production.
