TATARSTAN PASTORAL

Tatarstán Pastoral — a type of variable clover (Medicago sativa L. nothosubsp. varia) intended for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatka and Middle Volga regions. This variety is characterized by early flowering time and a semi-erect bush with leaves colored from medium to dark intensity. The central leaflet has medium length and width, and the flowers are predominantly light, with a low frequency of very dark blue-violet shades.

The yield of dry matter of the Tatarstán Pastoral variety over the years of trials amounted to 58.1 q/ha in the Volga-Vyatka region, and 47.1 q/ha in the Middle Volga region. The variety is distinguished by high shoot-forming ability and the formation of root suckers, which contributes to an increase in yield from the third year of use. In addition, the plant has resistance to root rots and is weakly affected by the root weevil, which increases its reliability and longevity from an agronomic point of view.

This type of clover is widely used in feed production for animals due to its high nutritional value and adaptability to various climatic conditions. Tatarstán Pastoral is suitable for use in agricultural industry, providing a stable and quality feed resource, which makes it in demand among agricultural producers.
