Chickpeas rank third in the world in terms of sown area among pulse crops, following soybeans and beans, occupying about 14 million hectares.
The Nemezida plant is characterized by medium height, with an erect bush and a lack of anthocyanin stem pigmentation. Leaves are medium-sized, flowers are white, and seeds have a light beige color, round shape with slight ribbing. It is a medium-early variety with a vegetative period ranging from 78 to 113 days. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 245 to 280 grams, and protein content reaches up to 26.1%. During testing, the variety demonstrated resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought, and was not susceptible to diseases or pests.
The average yield of the Nemezida variety in the region is 18.8 centners per hectare, which corresponds to the average standard, while the maximum yield reached 28.9 centners per hectare in the Oryol region. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region of Russia and is distinguished by its stability and reliability under various agro-climatic conditions.
