Description
AVENTIS is a medium-late variety of spring oats (Avena sativa L.) from the aurea group, characterized by high drought resistance and resistance to lodging. The vegetation period is between 67 and 88 days, allowing for effective cultivation in various climatic conditions. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 30 to 36 grams, while grain natural density reaches 445-490 g/l. Protein content in the grain can reach 14%, making this variety valuable for both feed and food use. In field trials, the variety showed resistance to leaf diseases, increasing its reliability and yield. The AVENTIS plant has a bush ranging from semi-erect to intermediate type, with hairs on leaf sheaths and leaf edges located below the flag leaf, which are either absent or very weakly expressed. The upper stem node has no hairs. Plant length varies from short to medium. The panicle is short, two-sided with a horizontal arrangement of branches, and of medium length. Ears are drooping, glume of medium or greater length with a waxy coating, and the lower floral glume is yellow with a weak waxy coating. The first grain has a weak tendency to awniness. AVENTIS is suitable for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region, including the Belgorod, Kursk, Oryol, and Tambov regions. Due to low chaffiness and resistance to lodging, this variety is widely used for processing into groats, rolled oats, and flour, significantly increasing the output of finished products. Additionally, the variety is well-suited for inclusion in annual feed mixtures with vicia, ensuring high green mass with good energy value.
