Description
Spring barley of the variety Balavina Memory is a medium-maturing and medium-height variety of universal purpose, suitable for obtaining grain, fodder, green feed, hay, haylage and silage. The plant is characterized by a stem height of 120 to 160 cm, leafiness and wide long leaves. The bush is intermediate, with strong pubescence of the upper stem node, while the leaf sheaths and leaf edges are not pubescent. The panicle is semi-closed, two-sided, with semi-raised horizontal arrangement of branches, and drooping spikelets. The glume is long with a waxy coating of medium intensity, the lower floral glume is white and long with a weak waxy coating. The grain is large, the mass of 1000 grains is 35-43 g. The variety belongs to the mutica type, white-seeded and awnless.
Balavina Memory is characterized by high yield and good adaptation to various soil and climatic conditions. The average grain yield in competitive trials was 4.17 t/ha, which exceeds the indicators of the standard Universal 1 variety. The maximum grain yield reached 7.33 t/ha. The yield of vegetative mass is also high and is about 311 c/ha. The vegetative period varies from 70 to 95 days, on average about 82 days, which makes the variety medium-maturing. The variety responds to mineral fertilizers, which allows increasing productivity with the correct agrotechnical approach.
The variety has medium resistance to lodging and drought resistance, slightly inferior to standard varieties. In terms of disease resistance, Balavina Memory is moderately resistant to powdery scab, but susceptible to crown rust. Due to its characteristics and universal purpose, this variety of oats is widely used in agronomy to obtain high-quality grain and feed base, which makes it in demand in various growing regions.

Overall bulb harvest per unit area. Depends on both onion variety characteristics and agronomic practices, fertilizers, and irrigation. Under optimal growing conditions, an onion yield of 100 tons per hectare and above is not considered record-breaking. |
