Description
Bogachkov's Memory is a spring oat (Avena sativa L.) variety characterized by medium maturity and a thin-husked grain structure. This variety belongs to the grain and feed category, making it versatile for various agricultural purposes. It exhibits high resistance to adverse environmental factors, including resistance to powdery bunt, which significantly enhances harvest reliability. However, the variety is sensitive to crown rust and bacterial burn, requiring attention during cultivation.
The plant is of medium height with an erect culm and a medium-thick straw. The head is semi-loose, 12-15 cm long; grain is medium-yielding, white, with a naked base. The mass of 1000 grains is 35-39 grams, indicating good seed quality. Under conditions of the Irkutsk region, grain yield reaches 24.4 c/ha, and green mass yield up to 256 c/ha. The variety is characterized by medium drought tolerance and increased resistance to lodging, which contributes to stable harvest collection.
Bogachkov's Memory is valued for its high-quality grain, comparable to the Megion standard, with a grain density of 334-684 g/l and protein content of 14.4-15.6%. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for use in the food industry and feed production. It is recommended for cultivation in regions with climatic conditions similar to the East Siberian region, confirming its adaptability and reliability in agriculture.
