Description
FOBOS is a medium-ripening spring oat (Avena sativa L.) variety, primarily intended for grain and fodder use. It belongs to the mutica type and is characterized by a thick hull, which contributes to its high nutritional value. The mass of 1000 grains is 37-40 grams, indicating the grain size and good seed quality. The variety was developed by the Siberian Federal Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnology and registered in 1997, confirming its proven breeding base and adaptation to growing conditions.
FOBOS is distinguished by its high resistance to lodging due to a strong and well-leafy stem, which ensures crop stability even under unfavorable weather conditions. It also exhibits resistance to bunt diseases and average resistance to crown rust, reducing the risk of losses during cultivation. The panicle of the variety is large, semi-closed, and light-colored, while the rachis glume is elongated-ovate with clearly expressed nervation. Awniness is weakly expressed, which facilitates harvest and grain processing.
The variety is tested for the West Siberian region and recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Northwestern, Central, Middle Volga, and Far Eastern regions. The yield of FOBOS reaches an average of 27.5 c/ha, with maximum indicators on variety plots reaching up to 70.7 c/ha. Increased hulling and protein content in the grain (12-13%) make this oat a valuable component in feed mixtures, especially in legume-cereal blends, expanding its application possibilities in agriculture.

Overall bulb harvest per unit area. Depends on both onion variety characteristics and agronomic practices, fertilizers, and irrigation. Under optimal growing conditions, an onion yield of 100 tons per hectare and above is not considered record-breaking. |
