Description
Spring oat variety Mustang was developed at LLC 'Lugansk Institute of Selection and Technologies' and recommended for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions of Ukraine. This medium-maturing variety has a vegetation period of 90-97 days and is distinguished by high drought resistance, making it especially valuable for arid areas. Mustang forms high grain density with a 1000-seed weight of 33-35 grams and exhibits resistance to lodging, which helps maintain harvest during harvesting.
The variety is characterized by high disease resistance: it is resistant to powdery mildew, weakly susceptible to crown rust, and shows good resistance to root rot and powdery mildew. The cold resistance of the variety is rated at 9 points, allowing it to withstand temperatures down to -8°C. The grain's husk content is approximately 25%, and protein content reaches 14%, making it attractive for both feed and food purposes.
The yield potential of Mustang variety is 65-80 centners per hectare (7 tons per hectare) at the recommended seeding rate of 3.2-3.6 million seeds per hectare. Thanks to its adaptive qualities and resistance to adverse factors, this variety is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality oat harvest under various climatic conditions.

Overall bulb harvest per unit area. Depends on both onion variety characteristics and agronomic practices, fertilizers, and irrigation. Under optimal growing conditions, an onion yield of 100 tons per hectare and above is not considered record-breaking. |
