Description
The POMOR oat variety is a white-seeded spring oat for food purposes, intended for producing high-quality commercial or feed grain with high energy content. This medium-early variety has a vegetation period of 78-88 days and matures several days earlier than some other varieties, allowing for harvest at optimal times. The grain is characterized by high protein content – from 10.5 to 16.7%, as well as high natural weight of the grain within 420-530 g/l. Grain size is not less than 90% with a size of more than 2 mm, which ensures a high yield of groats exceeding standard indicators by 10% or more. Flouriness of the grain is low – less than 21%, while dehulling is less than 15%, which facilitates processing and improves the quality of the final product.
The POMOR variety is drought-resistant and differs in high yield, making it attractive for cultivation in various regions, including Central, Central-Black Earth, Northwestern, Volga-Vyatsky, Middle-Volga, Lower-Volga, and Ural. It is recommended for cultivation in Bryansk, Smolensk, and Lipetsk regions. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 34 to 41 grams, indicating grain size and quality. However, the variety is susceptible to certain diseases, such as powdery bunt, crown rust, and bacterial burn, which requires the application of appropriate agronomic measures to protect crops.
Studies conducted in various regions confirm the high economic value of the POMOR variety. Analysis showed that the yield of this variety positively correlates with the number of grains in a spike and grain weight, which is an important factor for increasing productivity. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability to different growing conditions, the POMOR variety is a promising choice for agricultural enterprises oriented towards the production of quality oats for both food and feed purposes.

Yield
Overall bulb harvest per unit area. Depends on both onion variety characteristics and agronomic practices, fertilizers, and irrigation. Under optimal growing conditions, an onion yield of 100 tons per hectare and above is not considered record-breaking. |
