Description
Oats of the Tembr variety is an annual crop that develops optimally in cool climates and is suitable for cultivation throughout Ukraine. This variety has a vegetation period of 95 to 120 days and reaches plant height of 140–155 cm. The oat stem is hollow and strong, and the leaves are light green. The grain is light-colored, well-formed with a blunt tip, with a 1000-seed mass of 30–38 g. The variety has good drought resistance and high lodging resistance, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions.
The potential yield of Tembr oats reaches 70 centners per hectare, with actual yields around 35 centners per hectare. Average grain yields vary from 25 to 35 centners per hectare, while green mass can reach up to 300 centners per hectare. The grain contains 14–17% protein, up to 9% fat, 41% carbohydrates, and up to 40% fiber, making this variety not only high-yielding but also nutritious. The oats contain B-vitamins as well as macro- and microelements such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, copper, manganese. The caloric content of the grain is 316 kcal.
The cultivation technology of Tembr oats includes spring and autumn sowing depending on regional climatic conditions. The recommended seeding rate is approximately 90–200 kg/ha with row spacing of 15 cm. Seeders are used for sowing, and the optimal seed burial depth varies from 1.3 to 4 cm depending on the crop's purpose: for fodder purposes, the sowing depth is shallower, promoting faster germination and increased green mass. Seeds are packed in 50 kg bags, with a minimum order quantity of 500 kg. Delivery is available via convenient methods, including transport companies and hitchhiking transport to the farm.
