Waldin 765® oat is an early-maturing variety developed for high yield and excellent grain quality. The vegetative period ranges from 83 to 97 days, allowing its use in various climatic conditions. The bushes have an upright form, while the stems are low-growing, strong, hollow, and range from 86 to 100 cm in height, ensuring lodging resistance and facilitating harvesting.
The grain of the Waldin 765 variety is large, semi-long, and bright yellow, making it valuable for cereal purposes. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 27 to 38 grams. The variety is characterized by high resistance to main oat diseases, such as bacterial blight, crown rust, as well as powdery and covered smut, which reduces yield losses and the need for intensive plant protection.
To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to sow seeds during the first days of physical soil maturity to a depth of 4-5 cm. The sowing rate is 3.5-4.0 million viable grains per seed plots and 4.5-5.0 million per grain. The variety was bred at the Kuban Experimental Station and is successfully used in the North Caucasus region, where yields reach 72 centners per hectare, confirming its high adaptability and economic efficiency.
