Description
Balstar F1 bulbs have a round shape, dense and robust, weighing from 120 to 300 grams depending on growing conditions. Protective scales are light brown or bright yellow, inner scales are white, thick, crisp, and juicy. The hybrid exhibits high uniformity and density of bulbs, ensuring excellent transportability and long storage life without cracking. The onion has a pleasant semi-sharp flavor and is suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for hot dishes and processing.
Balstar F1 is resistant to bolting and has moderate resistance to diseases such as pink rot and root fusarium. Recommended planting density is 1.0 to 1.5 million seeds per hectare, ensuring high productivity and uniform germination. This hybrid is primarily grown in open ground and is intended for fresh market sales, as well as for long-term storage and transportation.
