Description
The bulbs of the Grant variety have an elongated elliptical shape and an attractive golden-brown color with dry yellow skins. The average bulb weight is about 126 grams, with individual specimens reaching up to 200 grams. The onion has a semi-sharp taste and is characterized by high market homogeneity. A feature of the variety is multi-headedness: from 3 to 5 bulbs form in a nest depending on the propagation method. The green part of the plant consists of a long semi-erect delicate leaf.
The Grant hybrid is characterized by high yield – up to 90 tons per hectare, making it profitable for direct sales to the market. The onion is well suited for mechanized harvesting and long-term storage, retaining its qualities for a long time. The recommended sowing density is about 1 million plants per hectare, which ensures optimal development and maximum productivity of the crop.
