HERMES is a medium-maturing onion hybrid with a vegetative period of 95 to 115 days, depending on growing conditions. The bulbs have a round shape and a rich golden-brown or bright bronze color of scales. The average bulb weight ranges from 120 to 200 grams, with a diameter of 50-80 mm, ensuring product uniformity. The plant has a powerful root system and intense waxy coating on the leaves, contributing to high resistance to soil and air drought, as well as stressful environmental conditions.


The HERMES hybrid is distinguished by high yield, reaching 90-100 tons per hectare, and in some cases exceeding 100 tons. Due to its early maturity, harvesting 10-15 days earlier than the main harvest, it allows for the launch of product sales in the most in-demand period. The onion withstands mechanized harvesting and cleaning well, which facilitates the technological process and reduces losses during harvest. The recommended planting density is from 900,000 to 1,100,000 plants per hectare, ensuring optimal bulb size and high productivity.


HERMES is intended for long-term storage up to 6-7 months, making it attractive for sales both on the fresh market and for processing enterprises. High tolerance to diseases such as downy mildew and root rot further increases the reliability of the hybrid. Thanks to its qualities and stability, this onion is successfully grown in southern Russia and Ukraine, providing a stable and quality harvest.
