Krypton

Krypton F1 leek is an early maturing hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Nunhems Zaden. It has a vegetation period of approximately 95-100 days from transplanting, allowing harvest during the late summer to autumn season. This hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover, showing high adaptability to various growing conditions and care requirements. Plants are uniform in diameter and height, facilitating mechanized harvesting and improving product quality.

Krypton features cylindrical-shaped bulbs with large dark green leaves and emerald green stems. The white stem length ranges from 20 to 24 cm, with a diameter of 3.5-4 cm, and an average weight of about 400 grams per stem. The stem has a homogeneous structure without veins or fibers, ensuring excellent taste quality and making leek suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. Yield reaches 50-60 tons per hectare, making it profitable for commercial cultivation.

The Krypton hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases and pests, including thrips, and can withstand stressful climatic conditions without loss of productivity.
