Description
This variety is characterized by increased vitamin content and versatility: SEGUN onion can be eaten raw, as well as boiled, stewed, fried, and dried. Thanks to its good frost hardiness and unpretentiousness, the plant is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. To achieve stable and high yields, attention should be paid to soil fertility, regular watering, and fertilization, especially in the first half of the vegetation period and during the phase of thickening of the false stem. Hilling also contributes to plant development.
The variety is well stored for 2-3 months, which allows its use for a long time after harvest. The long whitened part and excellent taste qualities make SEGUN onion in demand both for home use and for commercial cultivation.
