Description
The 'Volgodonets' variety is distinguished by its resistance to stem rot, although it is susceptible to powdery mildew. The bulbs have a medium neck thickness and ripen well: before harvesting, the ripening rate is about 70%, while after ripening it reaches 94%. It is recommended to grow this variety in a one-year culture from seeds, which ensures a stable and quality harvest.
Due to its characteristics, 'Volgodonets' is suitable for growing in various regions, including Central and Lower Volga. The onion stores well and can be used both fresh and for processing. Its dense and juicy bulbs with a pleasant taste make the variety in demand among both farmers and consumers.
