The Rambel pea variety is the result of long-term work by specialists at the All-Russian Research Institute of Sugar Beet and Sugar named after A.L. Mazlumov. In modern agriculture, where process efficiency is paramount, this variety demonstrates an optimal balance of genetic potential and field flexibility. Rambel belongs to the semi-leafless (tendrilled) type, which is the standard for intensive farming systems.

Agronomic Profile and Resistance

One of the main challenges in growing legumes remains the risk of lodging and susceptibility to pathogens. The selection of Rambel is specifically aimed at addressing these issues:

• Harvesting Efficiency: Thanks to its semi-leafless structure, the crops possess high lodging resistance, ensuring excellent suitability for direct combining. A plant height of 60–85 cm allows machinery to operate with minimal grain losses.
• Phytosanitary Barrier: The variety shows pronounced resistance to Fusarium root rot and Ascochyta blight. This is critical for producing high-quality commercial grain, as it reduces the costs associated with fungicide protection.

Cultivation Economics

The vegetation period of the variety is 70–85 days, placing it in the mid-season group. The 1000-seed weight ranges from 220 to 270 grams, with a grain protein content reaching 22–24%. This makes Rambel an attractive choice both for commercial grain production and for the feed industry, which requires stable raw materials.
