Jackpot

Pea 'Jackpot' is a mid-season, stemless variety developed by Danish breeders from TOFT PLANT BREEDING APS. The vegetation period lasts from 65 to 81 days, allowing for a stable harvest under various climatic conditions. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging and shattering, which helps preserve grain quality and reduce losses during harvest. Seeds are spherical with yellow cotyledons; the mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 195 to 250 grams, and the protein content reaches 27.2%, making this variety valuable for food use both whole and split.

'Jackpot' is intended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central, Middle Volga, and Western Siberia regions, as well as the East Kazakhstan Region. The average yield of the variety is about 18 centners per hectare, while maximum figures in state variety trials reached 45.2 centners per hectare. Sowing rate depends on sowing dates: for early sowing, 70–80 seeds per square meter are recommended, and for late sowing, 80–100 seeds per square meter. The variety has moderate drought resistance, allowing it to develop successfully under limited moisture conditions.

Due to its agronomic characteristics and high technological indicators, the 'Jackpot' variety is widely used in agriculture to produce high-quality pea suitable for food consumption. Its high yield, resistance to adverse factors, and high protein content make this variety an attractive choice for farmers focused on obtaining a stable and high-quality harvest.
